OUR PROCESS

Full Timber Evaluation

  • 1. On‑Site Assessment

A certified timber specialist walks your property, identifies tree species, timber grades, merchantable volume, and overall stand condition. We also evaluate access, terrain, and the best way to protect your land during harvest.

  • 2. Timber Value Estimate

You receive a clear, honest breakdown of your timber’s value based on species, size, quality, and current market pricing. No pressure. No obligation. Just real numbers you can trust.

  • 3. Harvest Plan

We design a custom harvest strategy tailored to your property. This includes:

    • Marking or identifying which trees will be harvested
    • Mapping access routes and skid trails
    • Protecting waterways, slopes, and sensitive areas
    • Planning landing/log yards
    • Discussing cleanup options (basic to full debris removal)
    • Coordinating sawmill delivery for maximum value

  • 4. Landowner Approval

(You’re in Full Control) No cutting begins until you approve the plan. You choose the scope — selective cut, full harvest, or a tailored mix. You decide what stays and what goes.

  • 5. Harvest & Payment

Once approved, our crew harvests the timber safely and efficiently. Logs are delivered directly to our mill for scaling, and you receive straightforward, documented payment.

  • What We Buy at the Mill

    • Cedar — All sizes; excellent pricing due to local demand.
    • Hardwood Logs — Oak, hickory, maple, ash, and mixed hardwoods.
    • White Oak Stave Logs — High‑value logs used for premium whiskey barrels.
    • Walnut — Premium pricing depending on grade, size, and season.
Pile of freshly cut logs on grass, ready for transport.
  • Log Specs We Accept

    • Minimum Length: 8’8” logs
    • Minimum Diameter: 12” and larger (species‑dependent)

  • Why This Matters

    • Most logging companies sell to third‑party mills, meaning landowners receive less. By owning the mill, we keep the entire operation in‑house — and you keep more money in your pocket.
